What is Djavu?
Djavu is a tecnobrega band originating from the state of Pará, in Brazil. Formed in 2004, the band became known for their animated and dancing songs, which mix elements of technobrega, electronic forró and other popular rhythms.
The History of Djavu
Djavu was formed by four friends: Juninho, Jardel, Jhonny and Jhonny Boy. They started playing at parties and local events, and soon gained popularity in the region. In 2005, they released their first album, titled “Live in Belém”. The album was a success and led the band to perform in several cities in Brazil.
National Success
With the success of the first album, Djavu won fans across the country. His songs, such as “Ilariê” and “Me Libera”, became hits and played on radios and parties throughout Brazil. The band also performed on television programs and won awards for their record sales.
The influence of Tecnobrega
Tecnobrega is a music genre originating from Pará, which mixes elements of electronic music, tacky and regional rhythms. Djavu was one of the bands that helped popularize technobrega in Brazil, leading the style beyond the borders of the state of Pará.
